With plenty of places to see and things to do, you’ll be amazed by how much fun is possible at Mama Gertie’s!

For outdoor activates, get in touch with nature by taking advantage of hiking trails, rock climbing, or horseback riding. There are also numerous waterfalls to view, cold and fast running streams, or, in the cooler months, grab a couple skis and hit the slopes! You can also hop into the water with canoeing and whitewater rafting or fishing!The town itself has plenty of events and sightseeing opportunities. Antique and specialty shops, galleries, arts and culture, a farmer’s market, and tasty restaurants are all part of what makes Asheville great. Plan your trip around a festival or event to really see the town come alive!

The Historic Biltmore Estate

Be sure to check out the historic Biltmore Estate for epic views, tours of the expansive property, and special events. Mama Gertie’s highly recommends purchasing advance tickets to the Biltmore Estate by visiting the camp office. Mama Gertie’s offers discounted preferred 2-day passes for registered camp visitors. Once you have purchased your tickets, please contact the Biltmore to make a reservation for your preferred dates, as they often sell out.
