Our office staff is available to assist you with the purchase of a Good Sam membership should you require one. If you prefer, click on the Join Today ad on this page. You will be eligible to use the discount immediately.

If you are eligible for a Good Sam or Military discount (past, present or veteran status) please be sure to add it to your reservation. Enter your membership number if you are eligible for Good Sam. Military/Veterans, please enter your branch of service and show ID at check-in. If you encounter any issues contact the office at 828-686-4258 for assistance.

PLEASE NOTE: Once your stay has been paid in full we cannot refund unapplied discounts. Discounts will be honored as camp credit only. Camp credit may be used towards a future reservation.

Please provide a valid Good Sam membership card (electronic version is okay) or military ID at check-in.

All reservations open online at 12:00 am.

  • Book beginning February 1st for the Month of July, 2022
  • Book beginning March 1st for the Month of August, 2022
  • Book beginning April 1st for the Month of September, 2022
  • Book beginning May 1st for the Month of October, 2022
  • Book beginning June 1st for the Month of November, 2022
  • Book beginning July 1st for the Month of December, 2022

Guest Information

SPECIAL NOTICE: We do not guarantee site numbers, only site types. Our system optimizes reservations to allow as many guests to enjoy our campground as possible.

*The system assigns sites at check-in, therefore you may not be placed on the site you chose during booking. You may be placed on an identical site type. 

If you choose a particular site, it is not guaranteed unless you choose to lock your stay. The $250.00 lock fee is voluntary and is non-refundable. 

RESERVATIONS

  • Advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made online or by calling our reservation desk at 828-686-4258.
  • All reservations must be secured with a credit card. We no longer accept cash for reservations or in our camp store.
  • All reservations for the period of April 1 – November 1 are limited to a maximum of 10 nights.
  • All rental accommodations and RV sites are a 3 night minimum stay during holiday weeks.
  • We know guests enjoy certain sites and we will make every effort to accommodate requests, but simply cannot guarantee it. Sites are assigned by the automated system at check-in. While we guarantee your chosen site type and amenities, our automated system may change your site location.  We recommend that you lock your chosen site. The non-refundable lock fee is $250.00 per reservation.  If you lock your chosen site, you will not be moved except in an emergency.
  • Subject to availability; early check in fee is $25.00 per hour. You must contact the office at 828-686-4258 prior to your arrival.
  • Late check out fee of $25.00 per hour (or portion of) will be assessed if you are unable to leave by 11:00 am, if on the site at 1:00 pm a full day camping fee will be charged. You are responsible for any additional fees incurred by guests scheduled to occupy the site.
  • For insurance and safety reasons we cannot accommodate late check-ins. You must be on property and at the registration desk no later than 5:00 pm EST.
    • Please plan your trip accordingly and allow extra time for unforeseen circumstances.

PAYMENT POLICY

  • All reservations require payment in full.
  • Reservations for single nights and those made within fourteen (14) days of arrival require non-refundable payment in full.
  • Holidays and special events require non-refundable payment in full. Most holidays require a minimum three (3) night stay.
    • Weekend reservations for the period of April 1 through October 31 are non-refundable.
  • All reservations must be secured with a credit card. We no longer accept cash for reservations or in our camp store. Our vending machine and laundry facilities accept cash, coin changers are located in our main building and our 3rd tier laundry facility.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations for RV sites must be received a minimum of 14 days prior to the arrival date. Cancellations for lodgings must be received a minimum of 30 days prior to the arrival date. Monthly cancellations require a minimum of 60 days notice in advance of your stay.
  • Cancellation Processing Fees:
    • Stay Length: 1 to 6 nights – $50.00
    • Stay Length: 7 to 10 nights – $75.00
    • Stay Length: Monthly (Nov. 1 – March 31) – $250 per each month cancelled
  • All cancellations must be in writing via email to cancel@mamagerties.com and confirmed with the office staff.
      • Reservation cancellations must be made by the originator.
      • Voicemail notification is not acceptable.
      • System will email a confirmation as soon as the cancellation has been processed. If you do not receive one please call 828-686-4258. Unless you receive written confirmation of the cancellation; do not consider it complete!
  • To be eligible for a refund you must cancel your reservation within the specified time frames to receive a refund, minus the appropriate processing fee.
    • In lieu of a refund, you may elect camp credit. Camp credit in the amount of the entire payment will be kept on account for the remainder of the calendar year. Any funds not used by December 31st will be forfeit unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
  • Reservations for holidays, some events, single nights and those made within fourteen (14) days of arrival require non-refundable payment in full.
    • Weekend reservations for the period of April 1 through October 31 are non-refundable.
    • Cancellations will result in forfeiture of all payments.
  • All funds are forfeit if cancellation notice is received less than fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the reservation. Monthly sites require a minimum of 60 days notice in advance of your stay. Lodging cancellations require a 30 day notice.
  • COVID-19 cancellations are subject to our regular cancellation policies.
  • No shows will result in forfeiture of the entire reservation fee. 

REFUND POLICY

  • No refunds for cancellation or early departure due to weather
  • No refunds due to illness, work, ejection from our park or any other reason
  • No refunds due to voluntary site moves
  • No refunds for unapplied discounts (Discounts will be honored as camp credit. Camp credit may be used towards future reservations. Camp credit expires at the end of the calendar year unless prior arrangements are made with management).

SPECIAL NOTE: PLEASE be accurate and honest with your RV type, length and number of slide-outs when you reserve a site online. The length of your RV needs to include the rear slide when extended if applicable. We are carved out of the side of a mountain. Some of our sites back to stone walls and/or have a lot of trees, plants and foliage so this is important!

  • Motorhome or motorhome with a tow
    • If your RV has an engine and is drivable it is a motorhome. Motorhomes are commonly referred to as a Class A, Class B, Class C, Super C.
    • If you are towing a vehicle or a trailer please disclose it. We are a very small park with limited capacity for additional parking. Rates allow for 1 RV and 1 vehicle per site. Additional vehicles and trailers are assessed an additional $10.00 fee per night. We do not allow trailers or dollies to be brought into the campground. They must be stored in our front parking lot.
  • Travel trailers (includes popups, teardrops and Aliners) or 5th wheel RV’s are towed behind a car, SUV or truck. Please do not book a Motorhome Only site if you have a travel trailer or 5th wheel. There are no refunds if you book an inappropriate site type!
    • We have several sites that do not accommodate Airstream travel trailers due to the terrain. If you have an Airstream travel trailer do not book site 17 or site 26.

We are a small but very busy park. We rarely have open sites and it is especially important if you have a larger camper. We want you to have an enjoyable experience at Mama Gertie’s. However, if you arrive and do not fit on the site you have booked there is a very good chance we will have to turn you away. Refunds will not be issued.
